of a conversation. marco rubio has been working in the senate, i have been working in he house. is was an immigration attorney for 15 years. the reality is we need have both parties work on this. i if you look at what the democrats did, they had two years in the house of representatives and the senate where they had clear majorities where they could have done something about immigration reform. instead they refused to do anything about and it what they want to have is the political football they can always blame republicans. they're using this as a political tool and they don't really want to resolve anything. they were able to do something about healthcare reform but couldn't do anything about immigration reform and they want to keep continuing to blame the republicans for their failure of leadership. so, now we are actually doing something. they're going to continue to move the goalpost every time we do something on immigration, so they can have this political tool they can hit us over the head with. >> rue all, we have a stem bill and it's actually michael grimm, a republica

the presidential mansion just up the block. then just two saturdays ago, florida senator marco rubio was showing a little leg in iowa showing this early nominating state where he broke a fundraising record for the governor there. on tuesday night, this week, rubio and another potential gop heir apparent, congressman paul ryan are looking to get their political weight up by laying out their respective road maps for the jack kemp foundation. republicans ready to turn the page are introducing their new class of hopefuls, nice and early. it's a big class. a herd if you will of elephants stampeding toward 2016. there are those whose ethnic heritage alone will help to put a new face on the gop. in addition to senator rubio, there's new mexico governor susanna martinez, louisiana governor bobby jindal, south carolina governor nicki hailey and brian sandoval. two of the contenders intersect with the contingent of women would-be nominees. along with minnesota congressman michele bachmann. she isn't the only do over on the list. she's joined by fellow pennsylvania senator rick santorum and texas governor

. will marco rubio turn immigration around which is very risky with the base. >> it's interesting where the republicans have now suffered a loss. clearly mitt romney is not going to be be party leader. they don't actually have one and you watch the wilderness fight for a while. >> candy, i hate to say this because i know we all want to play along with 2016. i think part of the problem in washington is everyone is focused on next election. it's always an excuse not to get something done. i think the american people think we just went through an election now that you all have jobs can we solve problems and get something done. 2016 will be here way too soon and people are already running for office on both sides. honestly, i wish people would remember whatever party they're in you got elected this time a month ago to do a job and there's a big job to do. >> washington is so dysfunctional. only washington, d.c. is talking about 2016. the rest of the country is trying to create jobs. they're trying to get their kids off to school. they're trying to make payments on their house and car. washi

, we know that marco rubio is running. he has already been to iowa. they both have these roles. what will a fiscal cliff deal -- will paul ryan get blamed if he does, and marco rubio can he turn the party around with some push for immigration reform? risky with the base. >> it also is interesting in these kind of years where the republicans have now suffered a loss. clearly mitt romney is not going to be the party leader. they don't actually have one, and you watch the wilderness lap for a while. >> you know, candy, i hate to say this because i know we want to play along for 2016, but i think part of the problem in washington is everyone is so focused on the next election it's always an excuse not to get something done. i think the american people think we just went through an election. now please now that you all have jobs, could we actually solve problems and get something done? you know, 2016 will be here way too soon, and people, to your point, are already running for office on both sides, but honestly, i wish people would remember whatever party they're in, you got elected this
